13 - 21 January

Location: Changbaishan International Ice and Snow Festival Resort, Erdao Baihe Town, Chibei District, Changbaishan, Jilin, China

The Event

Welcome to Changbai Mountain

in northeast China

Changbaishan Mountain Range is located on the edge of Siberia and near North Korea; is one of China’s coldest places (Temperatures in winter can drop to minus 35 degrees Celsius).
As a dormant volcano, it boasts rare animals, marvelous lakes, amazing hot springs, and forests that stretch to the horizon. There is splendid scenery during the four seasons, but it is especially beautiful in winter.
The most beautiful part of Changbai Mountain is undoubtedly Heavenly Lake, situated at an altitude of 2,189 meters.

The Competition

Snow and Ice Sculptures

30 teams from 11 countries to create 30 masterpieces of snow and Ice sculptures

Participants from around the World realized a lot of amazing snow carvings; these structures are lit up at night, creating an amazing, fairytale-like atmosphere.

Magnificent ice sculptures; buildings, statues, and interactive exhibits entirely made out of ice are on display during the festival.

we realized a “Trullo”, a distinctive, small, dry stone building with a conical roof and a hand-made pinnacle on the top of the cone.

Their style of construction is specific to the Alberobello, in the south Italian region of Puglia. Today the surviving Trulli are a tourist attraction and are protected under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) world heritage law.

The COLOSSEUM is one of the 7 Wonders of the World; it’s a major symbol of the Italian hystory and it was the right project for our first competition in Changbaishan event.
